Cancer of the ovaries - risks

Information

By the time ovarian cancer is diagnosed, it has usually spread beyond the ovaries. There are often no symptoms until late in the disease process. More than 50% of women who develop ovarian cancer are diagnosed in the advanced stages of the disease. As with most cancers, the earlier the diagnosis is made, the better the chance for survival.
