GOODING, Idaho A southern Idaho nursing home has been placed on probation after a surprise inspection by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
The agency allegedly found substantial problems at the Gooding Rehab and Living Center in Gooding.
Agency spokesman Ross Mason said the citations involved abuse and neglect by some staff members. Some needed immediate correction.
Roger King is the administrator at Gooding Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Center. He declined to comment on the situation.
The department says it can’t release details about the 37 citations it wrote.
The home has 70 days to fix the problems before the state comes back with another suprise inspection.
