The National Association of Angolan Nurses (ANEA) in the Central Huambo Province is concerned about the recent employment of 513 untrained nurses who practice this profession posing a risk to the lives of many people, Angop learnt.
Addressing Angop, ANEA Provincial Delegate, Abrao Samajomba, said the enlistment of these untrained nurses has created serious problems in the attendance of patients in the hospitals they are employed.
On his hand, the Provincial Director of Health, Elias Finde, acknowledged the bad performance of the sector, also due to lack of training of some clerks but pledged to overcome this situation in the coming times.
He added that with the aid of the European Union, the local Government is working for the establishment of a vocational technical school of health.
