Man Who Weighed Over 1,000 Pounds Gets Surgery

A Valentine, Neb., man who once weighed more than 1,000 pounds is recovering from surgery.
Patrick Deuel had lost 360 pounds in August, but doctors said he was still too heavy for a stomach reduction operation. He continued his progress, and Tuesday morning doctors went ahead with the surgery.
Deuel was expected to be in intensive care until sometime Wednesday.
