Health screenings continue for dental patients

Former patients of Dr. Scott Harrington are still being urged to get tested for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV this morning.

Around 420 people showed up at the Tulsa Health Department Saturday morning to be screened.

Anyone that had a procedure done at Harrington’s office since 2007 will receive a letter urging them to see a doctor.

The health department will continue testing today and 8 a.m. and will go through 6 p.m.

The office for free testing is located at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center at 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

You can also call the hotline at (918)-595-4500 to speak to a representative. The hotline will be available starting at 7 a.m. and will be answered until 7 p.m.

Harrington was located over the weekend in a home near Phoenix, Arizona. Records show that Harrington owns the home.

Meanwhile, and old friend of Harrington’s says she doesn’t believe the allegations made against him.

The woman says she had two teeth pulled by Harrington back in the ‘90s, and that Harrington was very professional and he sends her a card every Christmas.

I’m sure most patients would agree Harrington was professional and kind, but knowing what we know now, he can keep his Chritmas card.
