The American Cancer Society has begun its Daffodil Days sale to raise funds to aid research, education, advocacy and service.
The daffodils, which serve as a sign of spring as well as a sign of hope for those with cancer, may be preordered through Monday for delivery in March.
The cost is $7 for those wishing to buy a bouquet of 10 fresh-cut daffodils for family or friends. For $15, they can purchase the Gift of Hope, a bouquet of daffodils in a vase, which will be delivered anonymously to a cancer patient hospitalized in Manitowoc County.
New this year is a Corporate Bouquet, for $75, which includes 60 daffodils in a vase with greenery. Daffodils also may be ordered in bulk: $350 for 50 bunches (500 daffodils); $175 for 25 bunches (250 daffodils); or $90 for 12½ bunches (125 daffodils).
Flowers can be picked up between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8 in the Manitowoc Room of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, 2300 Western Ave.
Those interested may order through brochures available at area businesses and the Holy Family Memorial Cancer Care Center as well as through order forms in the Herald Times Reporter and Lakeshore Chronicle or by calling the Cancer Care Center at 684-2749.
